Start small and build your skills
A table saw, jigsaw and basic hand tools can form the starting setup for manual panel fabrication. You will also need suitable blades, a supported work surface, measuring tools and the skills to use your equipment safely. You do not need to begin with a laser cutter.
Make and test a sample before taking customer orders. It gives you a way to practise, photograph your work and understand the time and materials each job requires.
What you need
- Tools: a table saw, jigsaw, measuring tape, square, clamps and basic hand tools.
- Panel material: locally sourced acrylic of the thickness specified for your chosen adapter.
- Components: a compatible hose adapter, matching hook-and-loop mounting products and any finishing accessories.
- A repeatable process: assess the window, measure, fabricate, fit and explain how to use and remove the panel.
The right adapter for the window
FlowDown is intended for suitable casement and awning setups where exhaust needs to be directed away from an outward-opening sash. FlowOut suits sliding-window setups with a clear straight-out exhaust path. Confirm hose compatibility, panel thickness and the required cutout before ordering or cutting.

Experience behind the parts
Aircon Kits grew from Aircon Rescue’s custom window-panel installation work in Metro Vancouver. Our focus is helping builders choose suitable components and understand how the panel, hose connection, mounting surface and exhaust path work together.
Your first three steps
- Read the starter guide. Understand the equipment, materials and job workflow.
- Build one sample. Choose a suitable window and check the complete fit before offering the service.
- Test local interest. Show your actual work, define your service area and take on jobs you can confidently complete.
